The Little Sparrow Who Chose the Higher Branch (A Fable Inspired by Proverbs 13:19)

the edge of a peaceful forest stood an ancient oak tree where dozens of
sparrows built their nests. Every morning, they searched the fields for seeds,

dreamed of building his nest on the highest branch of the oak. From there he
could see the sunrise first, feel the freshest breeze, and watch the stars
appear each evening.
But
reaching the highest branch was not easy. It required stronger wings, patience,
and practice.
Every
day Pip flew a little higher.

another sparrow named Flick laughed at him.
"Why
work so hard?" Flick chirped. "Look at all the grain lying near the
farmer's barn. It's easy to reach."

the open fields where it is safe."
