  Parents and Children: Building a God-Centered Family   The relationship between parents and children is one of the most precious relationships God has given us. It is also one of the greatest responsibilities. Parents are entrusted with the care, guidance, discipline, protection, and spiritual development of their children, while children are called to honour, respect, and obey their parents. The Bible does not present the family merely as a social institution. It presents the family as a place where love is demonstrated, wisdom is taught, faith is passed from one generation to another, and godly character is developed. A strong family does not mean a family without problems. It means a family that learns to face its problems with love, patience, forgiveness, prayer, and dependence upon God.
