  A Great Place — Where God Is Present   We often dream about finding a great place. It may be a beautiful home, a peaceful city, a successful workplace, a wonderful church, or a comfortable place to spend our lives. We naturally believe that the right place can bring us happiness, security, and peace. But the Bible teaches us something deeper: a great place is not merely a place that looks beautiful; it is a place where God is present, where His will is followed, and where His people can grow in Him. Moses discovered this truth when he said to God, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here” (Exodus 33:15). For Moses, reaching a destination was not enough. The presence of God was more important than the destination itself. A place without God may be attractive, comfortable, and prosperous, yet still leave the heart empty.
