Verse
1
Jacob
on his bed of rest, his eyes growing dim,
Joseph
by his side, bringing sons to him.
Manasseh
and Ephraim, names upon his lips,
Blessings
flow from Israel, his heart’s last wish.

the blessings of the fathers, passing through the years,
From
Jacob to his children, through joy and tears.
In
the land of promise, faith will stand the test,

rise and fall, but God's love is the best.

Jacob
crossed his hands, to Joseph's surprise,
Ephraim
took the lead, though younger in his eyes.
The
elder shall serve the younger, destiny's embrace,
God’s
plans unfold in His time and place.

He
spoke of promises, made long ago,
To

Angel who redeemed him, from all the evil done,

blesses the lads, under the shining sun.

Israel
said to Joseph, “Your sons are now mine,
As
Reuben and Simeon, in the family line.”
He
recalled his journey, the blessings and the strife,
God's
hand was upon him, through all of his life.
