Genesis
40
Verse
1
In
the prison where Joseph stayed,
Two
servants of Pharaoh, dismayed,
The
cupbearer and baker confined,
In
their dreams, their fate aligned.
Chorus
Dreams
in the night, visions so clear,
Joseph
the dreamer, we draw near,
Interpret
the signs, reveal what's true,
God's
wisdom shines, through and through.
Verse
2
The
cupbearer spoke first of his dream,
A
vine with three branches, a fruitful stream,
Grapes
pressed into Pharaoh's cup,
Restored
to his place, he'd soon rise up.
Bridge
Joseph
said, "Three days will pass,
You'll
serve Pharaoh, lift your glass,
But
remember me, in this dark place,
When
freedom smiles upon your face."
Verse
3
The
baker then shared his troubled night,
Three
baskets of bread, birds in flight,
Joseph
revealed, with a heavy heart,
In
three days, his life would depart.
Chorus
Dreams
in the night, visions so clear,
Joseph
the dreamer, we draw near,
Interpret
the signs, reveal what's true,
God's
wisdom shines, through and through.
Verse
4
On
the third day, Pharaoh's decree,
The
cupbearer set free, the baker, to be,
Joseph
remained, still waiting there,
In
the prison's shadows, with hope and prayer.
Bridge
"Remember
me," Joseph cried,
To
the cupbearer by Pharaoh's side,
But
as time went on, and seasons turned,
Joseph's
plea was sadly spurned.
Outro
In
the silence, in the wait,
God's
plan unfolds, never late,
Joseph's
journey, trials he faced,
In
faith, his destiny embraced.
Chorus
(reprise)
Dreams
in the night, visions so clear,
Joseph
the dreamer, we draw near,
Interpret
the signs, reveal what's true,
God's
wisdom shines, through and through.
