Genesis
26
Verse
1
In
the land of the Philistines,
Isaac
wandered, facing scenes,
Famine
struck, the land was dry,
But
the Lord said, “Do not sigh.”
Chorus
Oh,
in the land where trials rise,
God
will guide, open skies,
Through
the valleys, through the strife,
He
will lead you, give you life.
Verse
2
To
Gerar, he found his way,
Lived
among them day by day,
Abimelech,
the king, he feared,
But
the Lord was always near.
Bridge
Isaac
sowed his seeds in trust,
In
the land of drought and dust,
Reaped
a hundredfold that year,
God's
provision always clear.
Chorus
Oh,
in the land where trials rise,
God
will guide, open skies,
Through
the valleys, through the strife,
He
will lead you, give you life.
Verse
3
Quarrels
over wells they found,
Water
flowing from the ground,
Esek,
Sitnah, bitter names,
But
Rehoboth brought no blame.
Chorus
Oh,
in the land where trials rise,
God
will guide, open skies,
Through
the valleys, through the strife,
He
will lead you, give you life.
Verse
4
In
Beersheba, God appeared,
“Fear
not, Isaac,” His voice clear,
“Blessings
flow, descendants rise,
As
the stars that fill the skies.”
Bridge
Isaac
built an altar there,
Called
upon the Lord in prayer,
Pitched
his tent, his servants found,
Water
flowing from the ground.
Chorus
Oh,
in the land where trials rise,
God
will guide, open skies,
Through
the valleys, through the strife,
He
will lead you, give you life.
Outro
Peace
with Abimelech made,
Oaths
and covenants conveyed,
God’s
promises, forever true,
In
every land, He walks with you.
